The Youth Ministry Office in the Archdiocese of Vancouver provides parish youth ministry formation through training and support.

Definition

Youth Ministry in the Archdiocese of Vancouver:
Youth ministry is the response of the Catholic community to the needs of young people, fostering their faith in Jesus Christ and their communion with the Blessed Trinity, and drawing them into responsible participation in the life, mission, and ministry of the Church.

Youth ministry is ministry FOR youth, TO youth, BY youth, and WITH youth.

Goals


  1. To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of young people.

  2. To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.

  3. To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
